Here is a link to the application form for the YAAA competition scheduled for Saturday, May 5, 2012 at the Blair School of Music.  Specific locations (rooms) will be announced at a later time.

Judges will select winners for specific age groups and then there will be a Winners Concert the SAME day at 4:00 pm.

The deadline for submitting the application form is 11:00 pm March 24, 2012.  Only TEACHERS may submit the form, NOT parents or students.  If you have questions, please contact Debra Nelson (phone # in current NAMTA Directory). Only students who received a SUPERIOR rating at the Performance Auditions can apply.

The application fee is $15.00 per student. Teachers should collect fees for all their students who will apply for the YAAA Competition and then mail ONE CHECK to Debra Nelson, 6004 Stillmeadow Drive, Nashville, TN 37211-6516.

Please NOTE: We are suspending for this one time, the rule that a previous winner in their category can not participate until they are in another age/grade category. Because of the fact that YAAA comes during the same school year that YAAA happened in October 2011, this creates a special set of circumstances. There will be only one piano judge and one string judge this year, who will then judge the Winners' Concert.
